The Pop Academy was founded in Ostrava in 2012. It is a music school focussed on education in the field of popular music. It teaches subjects like popular singing, music, acting, presenting and rhetoric. The Academy provides high quality education for children and adults without age or other limitations. It regularly organises cultural events and in 2014 it presented a kid’s musical performance of The Wizard of Oz to the public. It is also the organiser of an international singing competition, Talent Ostrava.

    Singers from the Pop Academy will present their favourite “covers”. Listen to various music genres, ranging from jazz to pop, in the Parník music club.
