Ostravská muzejní noc 10. 6. 2017

The ninth year of the international cultural festival called Ostrava Museum Night is coming! On Saturday 10th June 39 institutions of Ostrava that are focused on culture or education will stay open until late night. Expositions, guided tours, lectures, projections, concerts, workshops or scenic performances will be there. Museums, galleries, libraries, schools, technical sights, cafés, clubs, the town hall, circus and special centres will allow you to see their backgrounds and places that are normally hidden.

Join us and visit the cultural and educational facilities in non-traditional visiting hours and enjoy a very non-traditional programme. We’re looking forward to seeing you, your kids, your friends and your close ones, your neighbours and anyone else. A grand opening will take place in front of the New Town Hall at Prokeš Square at 17.30. Entry is free of charge, though we only let in those with smiles on their faces and well-tempered!

Ostrava Museum Night takes place under the auspices of the head of the regional council Ivo Vondrák and the mayor of statutory city Ostrava.

The festival has been financially supported by the Moravian-Silesion region and the statutory city Ostrava.

The festival of museum nights 2017 is organised by the Association of Museums and Galleries of the Czech Republic with support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
